📢 IBPS Clerk XV Recruitment 2025: Notification, Mains Result & Allotment

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) is the premier body for conducting recruitment exams for Public Sector Banks in India. The Common Recruitment Process for Clerks (CRP Clerks-XV) for the year 2026-27 was initiated in July 2025 with the release of the official notification. This recruitment drive aimed to fill thousands of clerical vacancies across 11 participating banks like PNB, BOB, Union Bank, etc.

As of December 2025, both the Preliminary Examination (August 2025) and the Main Examination (October 2025) have been successfully conducted. Candidates are now eagerly awaiting the declaration of the Mains result and the subsequent Provisional Allotment.

🔍 Recap: Selection Process for Clerk XV

The selection process for the clerical cadre is designed to test the candidate’s aptitude, language skills, and general awareness.

Phase 1: Preliminary Examination (Completed)

This was an objective-type online exam consisting of three sections:

  • English Language: 30 Questions (30 Marks) – 20 Minutes
  • Numerical Ability: 35 Questions (35 Marks) – 20 Minutes
  • Reasoning Ability: 35 Questions (35 Marks) – 20 Minutes

Candidates had to qualify in each of the three tests by securing cut-off marks to be shortlisted for the Main Examination.

Phase 2: Main Examination (Completed)

The Mains exam determines the final merit list. It consisted of four sections:

  • General/Financial Awareness: 50 Qs (50 Marks) – 35 Min
  • General English: 40 Qs (40 Marks) – 35 Min
  • Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude: 50 Qs (60 Marks) – 45 Min
  • Quantitative Aptitude: 50 Qs (50 Marks) – 45 Min

Crucial Point: There is NO interview for the IBPS Clerk post. The final selection is based solely on the marks obtained in the Main Examination.

What’s Next for Candidates?

Candidates who appeared for the Mains exam in October 2025 should keep a close watch on the official IBPS website. The steps ahead are:
