Indian Army Dental Corps Online Form 2025
📢 Indian Army Dental Corps Recruitment 2025: Opportunity for BDS/MDS
The Director General Armed Forces Medical Services (DGAFMS) has announced the upcoming recruitment for the Army Dental Corps (ADC). Applications are invited from Indian citizens, both male and female, for the grant of Short Service Commission (SSC). This is a golden opportunity for dental graduates (BDS/MDS) to serve the nation while pursuing their profession in the Armed Forces.
The selection procedure for the 2025 cycle will be strictly based on the NEET MDS 2025 scores. Candidates who have successfully completed their dental degree and mandatory rotatory internship are eligible to apply online through the official website joinindianarmy.nic.in.
🎓 Detailed Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must meet the following criteria to be considered for the SSC Officer post in ADC:
- Educational Qualification: Candidates must possess a BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) or MDS (Master of Dental Surgery) degree from a college recognized by the Dental Council of India (DCI).
- Registration: Applicants must have a permanent registration certificate from any State Dental Council or DCI.
- Internship: Completion of a one-year Compulsory Rotatory Internship is mandatory.
- Mandatory Exam: Candidates must have appeared in the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test, NEET (MDS)-2025.
🔍 Selection Procedure Explained
The selection process for Army Dental Corps is unique compared to other army entries. It does not involve a written exam conducted by the Army itself.
Step 1: Shortlisting based on NEET MDS
DGAFMS will use the NEET MDS 2025 scores to shortlist candidates. A cut-off will be decided, and candidates scoring above it will be called for the interview. Usually, the ratio is 1:10 (10 candidates for every 1 vacancy).
Step 2: Interview
Shortlisted candidates will appear before a Board of Officers (Selection Board). The interview assesses the candidate’s clinical knowledge, personality, aptitude for the forces, and general awareness. The final merit list is prepared solely on the basis of marks obtained in this interview.
Step 3: Medical Examination
Candidates who clear the interview must undergo a rigorous medical examination. They must be declared Medically Fit by the Medical Board.
🎖️ Tenure & Perks of SSC Officer
Tenure: The tenure of Short Service Commission (SSC) Officers is 5 years, extendable by another 5 years and then by 4 years (Total 14 years) based on willingness and service requirements.
Rank: On commissioning, candidates are granted the rank of Captain (or equivalent in Navy/Air Force).
Pay & Allowances: Officers receive pay as per Level 10B of the Defense Pay Matrix. Additionally, they are entitled to Military Service Pay (MSP), Non-Practicing Allowance (NPA), HRA, and other allowances as applicable.
Ready to Serve?
Keep your documents ready and ensure your NEET MDS scorecard is available. This is a chance to wear the uniform and serve the nation.
